On the weekend of August 9-10 a yearling bull moose was shot and killed on Forest Service Road 534 at Cascade Saddle in Kootenai County.

The moose was partially gutted and then transported to Forest Service Road 206. A knife was left in the moose.

The IDFG is also seeking information about a separate incident in which a bull moose was shot and left to waste near Fairfield.

This moose was killed on Sept. 26 or 27, north of Fairfield in the Rosetta Creek (Forest Service Road 471) drainage of Big Game Unit 44 near Warswick Hot Springs.
